RE: Cleaning The Outside Of The TC

Be careful with a power washer they put out a lot of pressure and can cause leaks. Power washers can take paint off of a house so you can guess what it would do to the side or the roof of a camper if used with to much pressure. Dryer sheets work great be sure and wash after use. Good luck.

RE: Air Conditioner

I would look at the Polar Cub it will run off the Honda 2000 real easy. And yes it is straight forward the hardest part is getting the unit on top of the camper a couple of buddy's can help with that. Good luck.

RE: close gap between TC "wing" and the truck bed sides?

Like was said I would contact the manufacture. It sounds more like a structural problem more than just a slight problem. Something is broken on the frame under the slide. You really do need to talk to somebody at the factory. Good luck.

RE: On the TC road to the West

We ate at the Big Texan Steak house in Amarillo it was great and the enjoyment of watching people try and eat a 72 oz steak was fun. We also stayed at a RV called The Overnite RV Park just off of I-40 and they have a free shuttle to the Big Texan it is a Good Sam Park and has Wi-Fi. There 1-800 number is 1-800-554-5305 and it is just off of I-40. Good luck. Have really enjoyed your trip report and pictures thanks for sharing.

RE: Porch Light.

This is not a smart a** statement. Why leave the porch light on all night? If somebody comes to my door or is messing around outside I just turn it on and then they know that I am up and know something is going on.

RE: Installing A/Cond and generator in the camper

I have the Polar Cub 9200 and the Honda 2000 and they both do the job very well. I have not used it above 3200 feet. You can re-jet the Honda for high elevation operation. In my opinion the 11,000 BTU is over kill for a camper. I think maybe they want to sell you the gen set being they are expensive. The nice thing about having the Honda 2000 you can use it at home or any place that you will need a portable generator. Also don't let them charge you to much to install the A/C it is easy and only took about 2 hours the hardest part was getting it on the roof. Of course I was pre-wired for it just had to remove the vent. Good luck on what ever you decide to do.

RE: Lance Ladders

The ladders are used for two things one is to access the roof to clean and inspect also to store things if you wish, the other is for a escape route if your escape exit is on the roof. Have fun enjoy.

Nice Pete wish I could do that but I would have to push up a hill and then it would be to high to go in because of the door. Looks good. Nice job.

RE: PACIFIC N.W. SPRING GET TOGETHER

The Rally had 10 truck campers and about 19 people we had a great time the weather was hot but that is OK the ones from Canada and the West side of Washington were just thankful to see the sun. Us from the East side were happy also to see the sun and not snow. It was a great time and the food was wonderful we could have feed all of the truck campers in the Pacific Northwest. Thank you RV net for the Shirts and all of the other stuff that you provided for the door prizes. Wish you all could have been there. See you soon at the next one I hope.

RE: Water Heater wont stay lit

Sounds like the thermocouple it is a probe that sticks in where the flame blows into he heater. It is cheap and easy to change out. Give it a try. Good luck. This is the first trouble shooting idea I have.

RE: Advice needed: Can I apply bed liner to bottom of TC?

If for some reason you had to remove the bottom to work on tanks or some thing I think it would be real hard to do with a spray on bed liner covering the bottom.
